Hi there—I’m a London-based writer, musician + programmer, born in Sydney. I drift between a few disciplines, including fiction, composition + sound design, and game + narrative design.

I’m currently working on Eternal Dragonz, a music/art collective I co-founded that brings together Asian artists from the diaspora. You can tune in to our monthly show on the Mexico-based Internet Public Radio. We’ve been profiled in Dazed, The Fader, and Radii China. We’ve also done visual projects, like Miss Ruthless in Hong Kong.

Most recently, I was a communications specialist + online content developer at the Sydney Opera House. Some editorial I've programmed on: 'An interactive guide to Dance Rites', a listenable glossary of Indigenous words; 'Renewing an icon', a hoverable SVG map. I also programmed the game mechanics and some UI for 'Trials of Wisdom', an Opera House-themed virtual escape room playable in your browser.

I’m also working on manuscripts for three novel-length projects: K-HOLE, Paralyzed in the Clearing, and Ambient Messiah.

I enjoy doing talks. Here are two recent ones: Migration Matters panel with London-based collective Eastern Margins, and at CHANGES Festival in Melbourne for Eternal Dragonz.

When I make music I use the alias ‘Tzekin’ (my Cantonese name). I’ve performed as a DJ in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, London, LA, NYC, and SF.

I’ve released two albums—Skyline Death, Skyline Death Remixes—and two EPs—Gold Chainz, Kiko Kicks—as well as a few standalone tracks—'Solar Clutter' on the New Weird Australia 2020 compilation, an an MV for 'Hush' feat. Alice Vicious and dir. by Vissukamma Ratsaphong.

As a DJ I’ve also had my mixes broadcast on NTS, NTS (2), BBC R1, FADER, i-D, and RinseFM with the Fade 2 Mind show.

Recently I’ve enjoyed scoring for fashion—Shiatzy Chen SS20 with Nhu Xuan Hua—and film—The After Party and Wonderland Ave, both dir. Eliza Brownlie.

I also write for and design games. Recently, I created Into Dust with Jae Stuart, a first-person narrative about grief set during the 2009 Sydney dust storm. The game was featured at aMAZE Berlin and at the Unity conference in Sydney. Here’s my itch.io page for more games I’ve made, mostly during gamejams.
